We went to an area track meet  ....

It was 95 degrees.

It was fun to watch them.....

Joel and Friends....

We arrived on Monday afternoon, to beautiful weather, colorful leaves, and excited grandchildren. By popular demand, I will start with Joel. I'll just say that he is as cute as ever....

Joel picked out a pirate knife at the dollar store...
He is brandishing it with his friend Violet close by...She really wanted to be in the picture...
By the next day she was tired of the Pirate play, and insisted that she would not play anymore if the Joel was going to chase her around and play sword fights.
