FACES OF FALL

It's a summer day but Fall is in the air. It's that coolness that makes me know that the hot weather is over and it's time to get my warm afghan out.

I love autumn. It's that to brief interlude between the heat of summer, and the cold starkness of winter.

It's harvest,
apples and spiced cider, pumpkins and pies, vegetables and canning, fruits and jelly's.

It's school,
new pens and pencils, notebooks and lunch boxes, backpacks and tennis shoes.

It's football,
on Sunday afternoons and Friday nights, popcorn and hot chocolate.

It's cool breezes,
sweaters and sweatshirts, pants and socks.

It's Vail
golden aspen trees, walks in the forest, cold frosty mornings.

It's hunting
deer and turkeys, quail and pheasants, doves and ducks.

It's my favorite time of the year.

I've decided that it would be fun to post pictures of Fall. I will call them my Faces of Fall.
