It's that time of the week again. I've already shared that I tend to be the kind of person that sees the glass half empty. I know this about myself, and I have been working on it. This is one of the reasons for Thankful Tuesdays.
This weekend I was pouring out my requests with many tears when God reminded me of the many blessings He has given me.
Now don't get me wrong. I believe that God wants me to bring my requests to Him, and I believe that He can do anything, but sometimes I need to just stop and give thanks. I need to focus on my many blessings. Remembering and acknowledging the blessings will build my faith, give me clarity, and hope.
Twenty four years ago Art started his business, Builders Glass. At the same time our marriage was going through crisis.Pretty major crisis , one that without God's help we would not stay together, and Art was still drinking.
With God's blessing and much hard work Art and I are now best buds. Our marriage is strong and fulfilling.
Art is sober and has been for 20 years. Our life is completely different since his sobriety.
This week we sold the business for a good profit.
Looking back I can see how good God has been to us, and I am so thankful.
Psalm 50
"Praise the Lord,
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty expanse.
Praise Him for his mighty deeds;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
Praise Him with trumpet sound;
Praise Him with harp and lyre.
Praise Him with timbrel and dancing;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe.
Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise, The LORD
Praise The LORD! "
