THANKFUL TUESDAY

I have a long thankful list this week including my trip to Ohio, and now this time in Nebraska, but while doing my Bible Study this morning I came across this verse.

"I shall remember the deeds of the Lord;
Surely I will remember your wonders of old.
I will meditate on all Your work
And muse on your deeds.
Thy way, O God, is holy;
What god is great like our God?
Thou art the God who works wonders;
Thou hast made known Thy strength among the peoples. "
Ps. 77:11-14

In this Bible study we are going to "remember" some of the many "fingerprints" of God on our lives so that we can be thankful. What a challenge. Often I am quick to look at the hard lessons that have shaped me, but what about the many"other" times that are less blatant when God was still affecting my life, and I have never recognized or acknowledged those times. Even before I was saved God was working with and loving me.

"Like a river spilling into the ocean, actively remembering God in our past spills into believing God for our future." Beth Moore

I think that off and on over the next weeks I may share with you some of the "treasures" I find, and I can be thankful with you.

I was taken back to Psalm 139:13-16 today:
"For Thou didst form my inward parts;
Thou didst weave me in my mother's womb.
I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully
made;
Wonderful are Thy works,
and my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from Thee,
When I was made in secret,
and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth.
Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance; "

This verse indicates that it was God and me clear back at the beginning.
He created me. He wove me. What I consider flaws are not flaws at all, but part of "Gods Master Plan" for Karen. YES,
For I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

My heritage is not a mistake. He gave me the exact mom and dad that He wanted me to have. In the exact time, and the exact place.
He knew it all.

O Lord, I will give thanks to you today for me.
Not in a prideful way, but in an acknowledgment that when you made me you knew exactly what you were doing, and I am special.
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.
