CHRISTMAS QUESTIONS..

I thought it would be fun to do one of those CHRISTMAS QUESTIONNAIRES I have been seeing.
The first are my answers and Art's follow.

1. DO YOU LIKE REAL OR FAKE TREES?
I like both because my favorite part of the tree is the lights.
Lots of them and lots of colors.
Doesn't matter to my what kind of tree they adorn.

2. MY FAVORITE ORNAMENT
When I was little my Grandma Eaton gave me a little ornament with an angel inside.
I had it for a long time, but over the years it got broken.
Last year Dianne gave me an ornament that was very similiar to it.

3. MY FAVORITE CHRISTMAS CAROL
Right now I am enjoying the entire album from Selah, "Rose of Bethlehem"
but I have always enjoyed "Joy to the World", and the "Little Drummer Boy"

4. FAVORITE TRADITION
Christmas cookies

5. FAVORITE CHRISTMAS COOKIE
Russian Tea Cakes, Chocolate Crinkles

6. OPEN PRESENTS CHRISTMAS EVE OR DAY
Always Day, there is nothing like the exciting anticipation of Christmas morning presents.

7. FAVORITE MEMORY
There were two Christmas that I remember were very special. In 1989, my first grandchild was due and it turned out that Jonathan was born on December 30. Then in 2006 my last grandchild was due, Toby Joe was born on December 27. Both Christmas were so exciting for me because I knew that they could very well come on that Christmas Day or it would be soon after. It was like Christmas morning for a week with the excitement and anticipation.

8. FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MOVIE
Home Alone....I like it because the boys belly laugh all the way through it...they love it.

9. FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MEAL
My mom's Christmas Eve buffet.
We have shrimp, and dips, and orderves, and sandwiches, cookies, and desserts.

10. FAVORITE GIFT RECEIVED
I remember a Christmas when I was a little girl that I received a "Betsy Wetsy" doll and a bike.
I was so excited. That Christmas I got both things that I wanted.

Real except they dry out so quickly, but I like the smell.

My Dad taught me how to make oyster stew when I was about 13 years old.

Prime Rib, Spinach souffle, Mashed Potatoes, Banana Pudding

10. FAVORITE GIFT
A 22 pistol from Karen and the boys. They gave it to me after I came home from the Army. Karen picked it out herself. Must have been around 1973. I still have it. It is one of my prized possessions.
