What did you say 50 x 10 Is?...

Imagine my surprise when Jon asked,"Heh Grandma, do you want me to bring in all this Avon on the porch?"

"Sure", I responded.
What a joker I thought I had a small order.

There should be only 1 or 2 boxes this time.
I about fell over when I got upstairs and I had to climb over boxes to get into the dining room. There were at least 10 boxes, all were to heavy to lift, let alone send back.
What had I done?
Well, someone had made a BIG mistake.

After a quick count I came up with about 500 books, and after a quicker check of the invoice I found the mistake had been mine. That was a surprise.
I had ordered 50 sets of books instead instead of the usual 5 sets.
I must have had a brain fart I did not just say that, I mean lapse. Which is nothing new,but this one was going to cost me, and that is a problem since I'm not making any money YET...

"Don't worry about it, live and learn, right?" said Art.
He is always so nice to me. I need to learn from his example.
I doubt I would be so nice to him if he had a similar brain freeze.

"No, I am going to put all of them out," I responded.
Art laughed.
"It will give me a chance to hit the whole neighborhood, and I can't, no I won't waste them."

WHATEVER.....

I have been putting books out for 2 days and I still have 6 boxes left.

I should probably be a good entrepreneur and go stand in front of Wal-Mart or some such store and offer books to people coming and going. Who does that?

Or I suppose I could go to my dentist, doctors, hair dresser, and masseur if I had one, but I don't have the time, energy, or desire.

No wonder I haven't made any money yet.

So with only a few days left before this order goes in I will keep plugging away.
And don't tell anyone, but I almost did it again with my last order.
I caught the big 0 as I was about to push the send button.
Wouldn't it be nice if I got a new customer out of all this?
