Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder....

Springtime in Nebraska. Turkey hunting got interrupted this year because of the snow storm.
Joe stayed home due to the 24 inches that they got in Kiowa. So much snow out there that they had to cancel prom....Anyway... They can still hunt for the entire month of May.

Nebraska was wet, but no snow.
We decided to leave on Sunday, and just drive through the hunting area on the way out.
We all know that I'm not a hunter, I never see them when Art is pointing them out to me. But I will have you all know that I am the one who spotted this big ol boy before Art did. :)
Not bad if I do say so myself.... of course I didn't shoot him, Art gets that credit.

Eyou... Do I have to touch it? Just kidding I am not a wimp.. He is heavy though.... Blow up this picture and check out that ugly head...

Their feathers are beautiful, but what's up with those heads?

Art's all proud. Turkey must have weighed 25lbs.
Art is making is own brine. I will post it if its as good as it smells.
Oh yea, Jon said only ugly people say that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"....to make themselves feel better.
Now thats not nice, but it
makes my point. Turkeys are one of those animals that are both ugly and beautiful at the same time just depends on where you are looking.
