All I could think was, "why can't it just be easy?" We had beautiful
weather all week.
This was the day that Michele and Joel were leaving for Vanuatu.
If they didn't get out this day then they couldn't leave for another week.
Air Pacific flies out of Fiji to Vanuatu once a week.
It was necessary to get to Los Angeles from here before 1o p.m.
We headed to the airport around 9:45 for a 1:00p.m. flight.
Long story short...the roads were good..all that snow was melting quickly.
We were so thankful...
It was quite a walk to check in...
We carried, dropped, and dragged all the luggage in together, even Joel helped.
It was so heavy that at one point we just stopped and laughed at the absurdity
of it all. This is what happens when grandma's and grandpa's have
done all their Christmas shopping and don't have to mail it. Two of the suitcases
were gifts.
And also my 23 skirts..:) can't forget those. The little village girls are waiting....
Michele's flight was right on time.
We had time for coffee and muffins, time to say good bye.
I cried most of the way to the car, but I was so tired that I came home
to an empty house and sat in front of the T.V. until bed time. Only getting
up for a turkey sandwich. I watched just a few Hallmark movies:)
Michele and Joel made the Fiji flight, luggage and all.
They are back at home...should be arriving in Tanna as I write this.
Their trip was succesful...bone scan found no damage and they will do more tests on furlough next year.
It was deer hunting
weekend in Nebraska.
Art got his deer Saturday morning early, Joe got his Saturday afternoon, and
Sage got his Sunday morning.
Success....
They had a great time, and we have to much deer.
I'm still tired...
Art's back at work...
We are going back to Nebraska this weekend...it is still pheasant season:)
