Art has this favorite blog called roadfood.com they write about out of the way places to get great food all over the country.
To Art's excitement they featured a place in Wahoo, Nebraska.
Wahoo locker says they specialize in jaternice, jelita, potato sausage, cream sausage, head cheese,and souse. Special recipes passed down from generation to generation.
As I type this I'm asking Art what it is. Stuff my grandpa and dad used to make on the farm.
Alrighty then.
So one 20 mile detour later we found ourselves in WAHOO.
Our cooler is filled with
Wahoo wieners, wahoo jalapeno wieners, garlic ring bologna, pepper jack cheese summer sausages.
Art's a happy traveler.
I'm betting Erik will be happy also.
Tomorrow I will share with you the treasure I found just for me and its not something to eat.
