So what happens when there is one bathroom and more than one need?
Well it started this morning....
Heather and I have been taking turns the last two nights alternating baby feedings. We lost our #1 night time feeder to the flu. That would be Daddy. I turned over at around 4:30 a. m. this morning to a crying baby.
I comforted myself with the thought, I THINK IT'S HEATHERS TURN. I turned over and closed my eyes.
"Karen, Karen," It was Heather, "I'm sick I have diarrhea."
That meant one thing I was officially the only one besides the baby without the flu.
Me and baby have been spending quality time together ever since.
Later in the morning I say to Heather, "Will you be okay for me to take a quick shower? I'm not sure when I took the last one."
"Sure just let me use it once before you go in, " she responded.
She started down the hall and halfway there she started running.
" I think I have to throw up."
Hmmmm.....
Maybe the shower will have to wait another day, baby won't know the difference all she needs is someone to meet the need for feed she doesn't care if that someone smells bad.
A few minutes later Heather comes out, "Do you think you could leave the door open while you shower? Just in case."
"Not a problem," I said. Clean hair trumped Heather being in the shower with me.
I left her sitting on the couch holding her puck bucket .
Long story short,
My shower ended up to be quick and uninterrupted. I smell better, and baby
has sparkles on her head from my face cream...:-)
You never know with one bathroom and many needs.
