Look at this sweet baby girl...
She has come such a long way in a very short time..
The complete story is on her Mom's blog dhlandis.blogspot.com, but I just need to express some
thoughts about it all....
She has had a couple of very difficult weeks. A cold with lots of snot.
A cleft palate baby does not have places to put all that snot, not like a normal baby.
She has reflux. I have reflux and I know that it can be pretty uncomfortable.
It has caused her to both cry and refuse food, or to eat constantly...
Poor baby ...Poor mommy... both are tired...
So much frustration to find a way to meet her many needs.
As hard as this has been for Heather and baby, I am so thankful that she lives here In USA.
I just finished reading a blog written by a missionary who lives in Hatai she was describing a baby
born with defects that only lived around 40 minutes. I don't know what the defects
were, but I can only imagine how difficult it would be to have a baby in a village setting
with Danielle's difficulties.
What a huge blessing that she has access to some of the best medical care. People come from all over the world to see her doctors. They are experts in cleft palettes. Heather and Dale live 20 minutes down the road from the hospital.
What a huge blessing she has a mom and dad who understand her needs, and who have access to bottles and medicines to help her through.
What a huge blessing that we have a God who can give her and her mom the
strength to get through it all.
I'm just thankful right now....
I really fell in love with this baby girl, she is a special little one...
