We Made It To Chicago....and Wheaton....

We've had a busy week in Chicago..
flew in on Monday, and immediately began to experience the Chicago ambiance.
I think that is a word, any way you know what I'm talking about
The Chicago....

Traffic...

Our flight arrived at around 4:00p.m.

Gas Prices
          Seriously...
I thought I was seeing the wrong amount when we stopped for gas...
We have never ever never payed this much for gas... ever

But the  reason we came to Chicago was to see our son and his family
Here is my Joel, happy to see his grandma and grandpa at the airport.

They are leaving for the mission field on the 22nd and we have are helping them get ready, while at the same time picking up the vehicle we loaned them.
I anticipate that it will be a busy week with cleaning and packing, but we have already got to enjoy some things with the grand kids that we normally aren't around for....

This weekend Erik and Michele went to Ohio to visit my niece, Erik's cousin , Desiree and
speak to her church.
We kept David and John Mark with us.

Yesterday we took a walk into Wheaton ...
It has been 90 degrees all week until yesterday and it was freezing, but the weather didn't stop us from

walking and talking....

. stopping to smell the spring flowers

and finding the farmers market..
This is one of the best markets I've ever been too....

We ate and shopped, check out my new scarf, I told you it was cold...
 We had a great time.
Later Art and JM went fishing and David and I stayed in town to check out the museum
and shop.
Good times....
