Some SCOOP

Enjoying my left over lunch.....
Its been a busy month and a hot one.
I took Chloe home two weeks ago and came back to 105 heat.
Its been this way all week.
In spite of the heat the garden is doing Awesome...

check it out

Potatoes, cucumbers and big pumpkins...

Corn  and squash

Peppers Peppers and more Peppers
all kinds.

I brought this Artichoke to  Art from
Seattle....Looking good...

We have had lots of zucchini squash already...
Art is in Kiowa working with Sage and Joe
I am holding down the fort or taking good care of the chickens and garden or keeping the place running until he gets back.

I went to TOPS today. There is no Weight Watchers for 100 miles.
They were excited to have new blood, no pressure...

I'm knitting a little girls sweater
Reading a memoir called ZIPPY

My girls  chickens are doing good, they are getting so big.
They are free ranging now. They come out of the coop in morning, hang out under the back yard trees all day eating bugs and whatever I give them, and make their way back to the coop at dusk.
They just hang out and wait until I come and shut the doors for the night.
I couldn't believe it myself until I saw it happen.
They are fun. Still waiting for eggs.

Have you ever seen a turkey run?
It's pretty funny. They look like they could topple any minute.
At the rate they are growing they could weigh 50lbs by Thanksgiving.

There is a fire ban for fireworks this year. They still might do the city display.
We have had a few grass fires, but so far nothing has burned much or out of control not like Colorado.
I can't believe that the fires are in the city of Colorado Springs.
My heart and prayers go out to the people. So Sad. It is still out of control.
Art can sometimes see the smoke and smell it from Kiowa.

My baby girl is good...she is staying with her grandma in Denver
while Jon and Alex go on short trip to celebrate Alex's 21st birthday.
Happy Birthday Alex. ..
Erik and Michele doing good. They finished and printed the book of Revelation this week. Looks so awesome in Nafe language. I can't read it but I can appreciate and be thankful for all the hard work coming to print.

Sage and Cole may come for the Fourth of July.
The boys will be disappointed at fireworks ban. In Nebraska we can enjoy all kinds of fireworks normally.

The farmers already harvested the wheat  in the last two weeks. It is early, but the weather made for early harvest. they usually don't start until first week in July.
Hard to believe it is July already..

We had company this last weekend. We went to an auction that was outdoors.
As morning heated it got more miserable.
Art got some good tools for shop.

Not much more going on.
I'm tired. going to go knit:)

and its bedtime for chicks...
