Fall is here in Nebraska...
The weather has been beautiful for weeks.
I love the cold mornings and warm days.
The leaves have fallen, this was the first year
that we have been here long enough to enjoy the yellow leaves.
We have had one snow storm already.
Our garden harvesting is over...
We have a basement full of squash, potatoes,
pumpkins, and sun flower seeds.
Art grew huge pumpkins the biggest weighed in at
76 1/2 lbs.
The chickens are pecking away at them in the yard.
The chickens are doing good..
I have 10 girls and I had nine eggs today.
I had an egg yesterday that was so big it would not fit in my egg carton:)
The eggs are a rich orange color. The big ones often have double yolks.
We really enjoy the chickens...
After one year Art got his tractor running last week.
He was totally delighted. The truck has been in the shop for three weeks.
They say they are waiting for a part. I guess we are saving on gas....
Pheasant hunting starts this week.
Deer hunting this month.
Has anyone noticed that milk is $4.05 a gallon, and gas close to $ 4.00 a gallon.
I'm knitting a pair of leg warmers for Chloe...
She is crawling now, pulled herself up last week...
I'm going to Denver this week to babysit . I'm excited to see her....
Art and I went to auction this weekend.
It was a good one and fun. We enjoy going to them.
Art picked up several pieces of blue carnival glass.
I got several boxes of jewelry, Sierra is going to love me when she gets all those little pairs of earrings for Christmas.
We lost one of our kitties this month.Marshall got hit by a car.
We were sad :(
We have acquired 3 new kittens. They all found their way to our house.
Probably all that warm milk Art feeds them.
One little black one has decided to make the inside her home, and the other two are perfectly happy to stay outside as long as Art feeds them every day.
I made pumpkin whoopie pies today.
Yummy!!! They are for Bible Study tomorrow.
Joe and boys are coming here for Thanksgiving.
We are pretty happy about that.
We are registered to vote for first time in Nebraska.
It won't be long now.
Not much more scoop from here gotta go pack my bag...bye
