Four Fiber Bread Recipe
I've been trying to put more fiber in my diet so when I came across this bread recipe I gave it a try. It turned out so good I decided to share it. It is a heavier bread because of all the fiber, but it still raised very nicely. It is worth the time and effort. Art loved it.
Four Fiber Bread
1 1/2 cups warm water * 70-80 degrees
1/2 cup honey
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups bread flour
1 cup wheat flour
3/4 cup rye flour
3/4 cup cornmeal
2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
I started with water, yeast, and honey in my big mixer with the awesome dough hook. Added all the dry ingredients mixed well. I needed to add a couple of Tablespoons more water. When it was a nice mixed ball of dough I put it on counter and kneaded for around 3-4 mins. I greased the bowl and put the dough back in the bowl to raise for one hour.
I punched it down, and kneaded it again. I shaped it into a nice loaf and put it in the greased Pyrex loaf pan. I raised bread in a pan for another hour. 375 oven for 35 mins.
