I came across this poem:
GRANDMA
In the dim and distant past
When life's tempo wasn't
so fast,
Grandma used to rock and knit,
Crochet, tat and baby sit.
When the kids were in a jam,
They could always call
on Gram.
But today she's in the gym
Exercising to keep slim.
She's checking the web
or surfing the net,
Sending some e-mail or
placing a bet.
Nothing seems to stop or
block her,
Now that Grandma's off her
rocker.
All these things are true for today's grandmas,
and I love the freedom and opportunities I
have that past generations of grandmas didn't
have. I keep myself pretty busy,
but I still put my grandchildren first and
they know this grandma is always here for them
to rock and knit, and most of all babysit.:))
I can't count the times I've rearranged my life
to be here for them.
So I know, that us Grams can have the best of both worlds.

I love this poem! I'm a wife, mom, and grandma, too. I'm new to all this blogging stuff. I'm having fun though. Thought I'd stop in and say "hello".
