THANKFUL TUESDAY

This week has been a crazy one in the financial world. I know that Art and I have watched our meager retirement savings dwindle by half. I'm one of those people that can "freak" pretty easy especially when my money and security is involved so when I came across this verse in Isaiah this week it really blessed me and brought me comfort.

Isaiah 33:5,6
"The LORD is exalted, for He dwells on high;
He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness
and He will be the stability of your times,
a wealth of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge.
The fear of the LORD is his treasure."

The Lord is God and He is exalted. There is no human wisdom or power that can do or know better than God. I need to remember that nations and individuals can have stability in these unsure times by trusting God and seeking His wisdom and knowledge.
The fear of the Lord needs to be my treasure and my focus. It is
unbelief and fear that would cause me to look to myself or human resources for help, but faith will cause me to trust in God and His help.

I thank you God that I can put my trust in You. I thank you that nothing has escaped your notice. I thank You that nothing has happened or been lost that you are not completely aware of and in control of. I thank You that You will take care of us and watch over us.
