Springtime in the Desert...

Jon sticks his head out the door, earrings flashing in the sun.
"Are you guys ready?"

Funny question since we have been waiting by the pool for the last half hour for him to get out of the shower.

We are off, well almost. Art suddenly bolts back into the hotel while Jon programs the GPS.
Anytime now we will be off to the Desert Botanical Gardens.

Art pulls out of the parking lot as a slightly irritating woman's voice says, "Recalculating."
The GPS is working.

"Look a 7/11," says Art. He is happy. Art always determines just how "good" a city is by whether or not they have a 7/11.
He loves those "big gulps."
He makes a mental note of the corner for later.

"Check out those mountains," Art says pointing ahead.
"Those are mountains? They look like rocky hills to me," I say.

Art pulls into the parking lot.
"Karen, you are champion."

Nice...

Art has always wanted to see the desert in the springtime. This is about the closest we are going to get to the desert since we only have a day.

The parking lot is full and Art isn't even caring.






They were having a special exhibit. This is all hand blown glass. There were several different kinds of glass throughout the park.

"That was fun Karen. That is one of the million things that I love about you."

"Hmmm? What's that?" I respond.

"That you can come up with something so fun."

That is what the Internet is for....
