Christmas Fun......

The boys last day of school was yesterday....Christmas vacation is here....

I Decided to spend the day with the boys and put together a gingerbread house. We had the ultra super duper everything included easy to follow instructions gingerbread house kit.
Toby was completely overwhelmed...He'd never seen so much candy in one place.
About 6 suckers into it, I told him no more.

We followed the instructions carefully... Step 1:decorate the entire house using your imagination
Step 2:put the house together using the frosting being careful not to leave the frosting open to the air because it dries quickly
Step 3: stand back and admire your fantastic creation .

The boys were really into it. They decorated all four sides and I did the roof.

We put it all together.....the boys put in a Christmas movie while we waited for the icing to dry...
I decided to hold it all together... while the icing set up....for some reason it seemed to be taking extra time.
Good things come to those who wait...
Toby waited patiently...sneaking a piece of candy when Grandma wasn't watching....
WAITING....35 minutes later ......
It had to be dry...Right?
Wrong........it crashed and it crashed hard...notice one of the sides cracked ...I put it back together and watched it crash 2 more times....
So here is a picture of the finished project:(
It still tastes good:) Seriously....
