WHO KNEW?

 that I would end up staying in Ohio for a few extra days? I stayed to watch the girls while Des flew to Texas to tie up some things for the upcoming move. 
Us girls had a great time....
They took me to a store called Justice.
"You will feel younger just going into this place Aunt Karen," said Emme. 

I don't think I've ever seen so many sequins or preteen girls in one place before. 
We checked out fake nails, bright colored padded journals, and sparkly t shirts. 
Emme was right I felt like I was 14 again. 

We ate lots of yummy food. I think they liked the buffet the best. It must have been the cotton candy for dessert. 

WHO KNEW... that Bob Evans had the best chocolate chip covered in strawberries pancakes in town? 
Abbe told me. 

WHO KNEW...that baby girl would grow so big while I was gone?

 she did.

I KNEW... art would be happy to see me but
WHO KNEW....that the chickens would run across the yard happy to see me
 they did.

my girls are now laying 5 eggs a day.



WHO KNEW...that the garden would grow twice as big?

 it did.and so did the weeds

four wheelbarrows later I'm still pulling weeds, Art said they were waiting for me to get home..
funny guy, good thing I like to pull weeds.Chickens like them.

WHO KNEW.....Art would continue making pickles and peppers?
he did...we are up to around 100 jars so we have taken to given the cucumbers to the chickens.

WHO KNEW....
that we could grow a beautiful artichoke plant like this one and still not have one artichoke

someone told me its because of the heat we have had all summer.
It is still 100 degrees here in the day.
